Random Poems

Helium

winters mystery
the secret smile in the snow

the stars are turning into dust
the sparkle in your eye
i ate my bread and left the crust
the darkest kind of rye.

the ice on your lips
slowly slips away
beneath the smokey haze
of licking flames in the pit
your clothes are crisp

the carpet of the sun is red
i stand there in my pin striped pants and i pretend.
i pretend that i dont know you
and i can clap and you cant hear
i walk, then dance and jump for joy
on flames of helium.

Color Pattern

Emerald and blue
poems of persuasion,
Percussion in the limelight, no one moves.

Silver and amber
rays of warmth and wealth across the ballroom,
all those spinning to the tune,
the tune of almost perfect lies, with ties
to tyranny, but no one knows.

Red and charcoal black
shadows cast against the brick wall, hats,
umbrellas, jutting into view,
people unable to be something new.

Fate

You cannot see, you cannot know. You cannot be without the both. From here unto tomorrow you will witness your life unfold. In these days the sun is doubtful, and the day is filled with gray, but soon the rain will come and heal and wash it all away. Sometimes the awkwardness of life is your resistance. The gracefulness resumes when your will recedes. It’s hard to know when both skies are blue, which one will fill your needs. Close your eyes, forget your wants, and remember what you have. Purpose will find you gazing at the stars, standing with your toes in the sand.

Justice of the Soul

1.
The blood of nations pour tonight
From fear of love and kryptonite
Mixing in the rivers arms
Frothing bubbles filled with psalms.

When dew drops shine their diamond light
The amnesty of death will bite.
Too soon we’ll cry at heaven’s side
Remembering the breath denied.

2.
Diminished virtue flames and roasts
Boastful kings whose life long hoax
Now hangs from strings
Decrepit threads
Of tortured fortune
Dripping red.

Forever in a Nutshell

Outside the walls I let my mind crawl to a stop
atop the ladder of light. A small blight.
A free-fall for chance to be part of the past that is still in the future
and not just a doormat.
I crossed the gates to a place where he ate
and I blew them a kiss from my small piece of bliss
and I sat and I listened to wind and to rhythms
to sweet reminisces and sat back in the kitchen.
The food there was great and I licked clean my plate
before returning to work in my black and white shirt.
Back to the place where my taxes were paid.
Back to the spot where I would be in dirt laid.
My roses were fragrant and beautiful and red,
yet they tangled their way through the boundaries of my head.

Forever in a nutshell is a place I often go
When I look into a puddle or the endless white of snow,
its when I say I love you and you know its always true
and its when I never want to go, just lying beside you.

I sometimes feel confined to this embroidering of lies defined,
of other peoples mysteries and histories combined.

If I were not myself I think it’s you that I would be, you that read these words,
as confused as you may be. I think that I would be just fine if in someone else’s mind. Especially if that someone else was reading words of mine.

So keep reading this
and I will keep writing
and being each other wont be so frightening.

My Creed

Life is and Ocean
The Moon is made of Cheese
And our Life here on Earth
Is a Chance to Breathe

Fighting Fallacies

Encrusting the crevices
The roaches encroaching
Trespass the premises

Their army approaching
Little but critical,
Picket fence poaching

Fragile lies, political
Spoken words broken
Painting with ridicule

The vulnerable’s awoken
To defeat of concrete
A fool’s crumbled token

Neglecting deceit,
They tackle a satchel
Of hellfire and retreat
